Who Am I Program

Inspire a grade to reflect on their life to date, the choices and their future

Who Am I

  • This highly impactful day, and its lessons, sticks with students long after the program. It is usually divided into three 90-minute sessions:
    • Session 1: Comfort Zone – Students go on an emotional journey, from laughter to deep reflection as they begin to think about and understand how they became the people they are today. Focuses on reflecting on the past.
    • Session 2: Stretch Zone – Students interact with others outside their usual friend zone as they begin to consider how things could be different if people behaved differently. This session is focused on the present.
    • Session 3: Panic Zone – Students will consider and discuss goals, hopes, and dreams in this session focused on the future. The day concludes with every student committing to improving their future through three tangible changes they will implement.

Outcomes

  • Students have the framework to contemplate and understand how and why they are who they are today.
  • Students open up and express themselves about their struggles and challenges, which is facilitated through an inviting and psychologically safe environment.
  • Students interact and connect with others outside of their usual friend groups.
  • Students become more aware and think about how the positive actions and decisions they make now can improve their future chances and opportunities in life.
  • Students are inspired to chase their dreams and aspire to a bright future.

Don’t take our word for it…

Your team were absolutely amazing and held Year 9 in the palm of their hands. Their enthusiasm, positivity and ability to develop such positive relationships with students is something to behold. Teaching staff who were present during some of the sessions were ‘blown away’ by the transformation they saw in some students and this is testament to the skill of your team.
